Filtering and Drilling Down Using Ribbons
Ribbons can be used as a powerful means of filtering and drilling down into specific sections of an analysis.
You can select any ribbon as a filter by double-clicking on the ribbon heading. This filters activities for that specific ribbon, and analysis and results then only pertain to the filtered data set. In addition, filter hierarchies can be created.
In the example below, the data was:
- Ribbonized by location.
- Filtered by a location called Domestic.
- Ribbonized by contractor.
- Filtered by contractor ACom.
- Ribbonized by activity status.
You can navigate back up through the created hierarchy using the vertical navigation strip on the left hand side of the screen.
Clicking on the Home button takes you back to the unfiltered set of data.
